We work with GOTS /FLO certified factories and are committed to follow a strict code of conduct when it comes to the health and safety of our workers, salaries and education.
This means that working hours are clearly set, extra hours are optional and paid double, mandatory rest days and pauses are respected and sanitary conditions are fully satisfactory.
Workplace discrimination upon hiring and child labour are forbidden, and employees benefit from National social contributions, and get paid leave. Employee salaries are above local salaries and men and women get the same salary at an equal level. To ensure continuing relationships with our local partners, Kolam holds to a commitment to paying 50% of our orders immediately, thus 6 months before our products arrive in shops, and the remaining sum upon delivery.
We visit and work in our studios 4 months per year; this being our way to reinforce commitments on all sides and to ensure the creation of our collections in perfect harmony.
